Formed in Champaign, Illinois in 1970 the quintet began the
climb from local to national prominence. Ridin' The Storm Out achieved gold
status You Get What You Play For became the group's first platinum disc, a
distinction shared by its successor, You Can Tune A Piano, But You Can't Tuna
Fish. In 1980 REO released Hi Infidelity, a collection that topped album charts
and spawned a series of highly successful singles. An emotive ballad, 'Keep On
Lovin' You', reached number 1, while its follow-up, 'Take It On The Run', also
hit the Top 5. Wheels Are Turning spawned a second Number 1 in 'Can't Fight This
Feeling'.
